Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
When I was 18 I had an automobile accident and broke my left femur. A rod was placed in the bone, but my left leg is now about 1/2 inch shorter than my right leg. I ve had no problems until recently I ve had bad pain in my right hip when I walk or raise my leg @ the hip.
As you had undergone surgery and now limb length discrepancy, there will be shortening of the muscles of one side leading to changes in the curvature of the lumbar spine. This is the case of the back pain.
Using hot water fermentation and doing exercises to correct the limb length discrepancy should be followed to reduce the back pain and correct the limb length shortening.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Jay Indravadan Patel, Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist
