I HAD MY MANOPAUSE SOME THREE YEARS BACK. ON LOWER ABDOMEN PAIN NOW, I AM DIAGNOSED WITH 10 MM THICK LAYER. HAD DNC ON 13TH DEC'13 & BLEEDING STARTED WHICH DID NOT CEASE TILL DATE THOUGH HAVING -Primolut-N -FOUR TIMES a day & DOXY LDR FORTE. EVEN THEN SPOTTING IS OBSERVED EVEN NOW. THE BLEEDING IS MORE THAN STOPPING FOR LAST 1 DAY. PL SUGGEST
Hi, Thanks for the query. After D&C usually the bleeding will subside in few days. If the estrogen predominance is leading to thickening of endometrium, progesterone tablets can help in controlling the bleeding. Along with them better to try anti fibrinolytic drugs with your doctor's advice. Possibly this combination will help in controlling the bleeding. Once the histopathological report of the tissue obtained in D&C comes the exact cause for bleeding can be identified. If you are taking anticoagulant drugs like aspirin that may also be one cause for your problem. Check for coagulation profile if your doctor advises. If the bleeding persists, once repeat the ultrasound to check the thickening of endometrium. Take care.
