I have asthma and have been sick since Wednesday. The congestion is very thick and almost impossible to cough up. It sounds like thunder in my chest when I breathe. At times I feel like I can t get enough air. My lung doc perscribed 15 mg of prednisone and augmenten on Thursday, but the congestion got much worse before the meds could work. Should I go to the hospital ( it s Saturday and I probably won t get good care) or wait until Monday when I can call my pulmonologist?
You need to go on a inhaler with long acting bronchodialator and inhalational corticosteriods for control of your asthma. Please consult a pulmonologist for proper management of bronchial asthma.
