What Is The Treatment For Ear Infection?

My 3 year old had his ear wax cleaned out today to see if he had an ear infection, which he did and as she was cleaning it out, it pooled with blood. She said it should be fine, but some 5 hours later there s still wet blood in the ear. Is this normal? Should I have him looked at again?

Hi,

Just wipe the blood as and when seen, don’t worry about it too much. It happens sometime, do not clean the ear by yourself, while bathing the child keep some cotton in the ear to prevent any water entering the ear as this might cause infections. You can get the ear examined after a weeks time if you feel the child is irritated otherwise there is no need.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
