Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter is 7 years old. She is having epilepsy sinceshe was 2 yrs old. She took 3yrs medicine called Valpharine. During those 3 yrs she was never attacked. Then Doctor stopped medicine. Againshe had mild attack twice in last 6 months. Doctor has started again medicine.
Hi, Welcome to HCM, I am sorry to hear about your child's condition and setback. But I would like to reassure that the condition is not too bad and out of control. The good things is that she was under control with just one drug and the attacks are not many even after stopping. The drug your doctor has started is a very good drug. I would suggest you to continue the same and what you must understand is that some children can take really long until there seizures get under control. So be patient and carry on what you have been doing. That's the best you child can get now. Take care.
