What Is The Treatment For Extreme Sensitivity To Smells?

My husband is so sensitive to smells, he can't go to stores or church. When people come over they have to make sure they don't have any perfume, body wash, cloths detergent that is scented. It is so bad he can smell womens scented panty liners. He pretty much is stuck at home. Not many people come over because of his problem. We have talked to Doctors and they have not given us any answers. Please can you help? Thank you!

Hi Welcome to Health care magic forum.
It appears that he has excited olfactory nerve, may be in the brain. It may be a sort of epilepsy type of excitation, or may be the pressure over the nerve.
I advise you to consult a neurologist for diagnosis and treatment.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms,alprazolam.25mg at night, valporic acid 500mg B.D.
Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts and
protein rich food, and fresh juice of palatable vegetables to support the treatment.
Wising for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
