Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My Xiphoid process is sore to touch and has moved to the left side and twisted a bit. It is tender to touch and may be a bit swollen. I have noticed an increase in gastric reflux and numbness in both hands when sleeping which may not be associated with the misshapen xiphoid.
Some advices that I can give to you are : -Take PPI medication to low the acid in the stomach. -Practice proper posture. -Elevate from the waist up. -Mix in a teaspoon of baking soda into a glass of water. -Chew gum to help neutralize the acid. -Don't smoke.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
