gout is the disorder of purine metabolism. it will leads to high uric acid level in the blood. later on its crystals are deposited in the joint and produce pain. so allopurinol is the perfect drug that you are taking. its will increase the excreation of uric acid. take NSAIDS as and when required only if pian and inflammation is there. and take low protein containing diet. it will help you to decrease uric acid level. and regularly check uric acid level. and change the dose of allopurinol accordingly. but its the perfect medicine that you are taking.
