What Is The Treatment For Hazy Vision?

i had cataract surgery 2 and a half weeks ago. there were some complications-(my eye was my eyeball was cut and had to have 1 sutured).the pressure on my eye was 54 but is now 45. i am being treated with eyedrops and acetazolamide. i still cant see much and everything has a haze over it. i noticed that when i take ibuprofen(200mg) my vision becomes moch better for a while. this is beginning to frighten me a bit. chris morgan

Hello
It seems from the history that you are had cataract surgery and you have complications like raised intraocular pressure and probably inflammation.
The cause for hazy vision can be because of corneal edema as a result of raised intraocular pressure or because of cystoid macular edema as a result inflammation.
Since you have mentioned that the vision is improved with ibuprofen an antiinflammatory drug the cause is most probably cystoid macular edema.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you

In cataract surgery there is no chance of cutting the eye ball. You have been treated with eye drop and acetozolamide means treated for glaucoma. You have to inform about preoperative checkup. what was the pressure before surgery. You have to consult the operating eye surgeon about post operative advise. If ibuprofen is improving your vision then there must be reason for it. Get it clarified Give clear information.
