What Is The Treatment For Hearing Loss?

I took one dose of hydrocodon/apap and have experienced hearing loss in my left ear. I have ringing and static in that ear. I was also on ciprofloxacn for a bladder infection, but it didn t cause any problems only when I took one of the hydrocodon pills. I am worried about permanent hearing loss. It feels like I have cotton in my ear.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms are suggestive of a local inner ear infection and not related to the hydrocodon pill intake, which could be just a coincidence. For this reason, I would recommend consulting with an ENT specialist for a physical exam and performing an audiogram.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
