Hi sir, my name is abhishek i have a hyperpigmentation on left cheek and left forehead . i had this since i was 14 -15 nad now i am 26 years old, i consulted the doctors here and they are saying that i need to go for skin biopsy , after that they will decide that laser is the option.
I think we are dealing with Nevus of Ota, which results due to lack of migration of dermal melanocytes therefore resulting in bluish black patch of skin discoloration in the distribution of the trigeminal nerve.
Laser is the only treatment for it. Q-Switched Nd:YAG Laser is commonly used for dermal melanocytic lesions like Nevus of ota
I would advice that you consult a Dermatologist with Good laser experience in these kinds of lesions.
