What Is The Treatment For Itching Of Perineum And Anus?
Ive been having itching of the perineum and anus for over a month. It is also very red and irritated.. At times it stings to use the washroom. Bowel movements mainly and blood can be seen in the stool on some occasions. Once or twice it was a fair amount of blood. There also appears to be some vertical tears along the perineum that are t healing. Almost resembles scar tissue
I would keep a possibility of Piles with or without anal fissure leading on to Intertrigo(inflammation of body folds).
Constipation especially if chronic is one of the predisposing factors for piles and fissure.
Piles can be associated with perineal and anal itching as a result of mucus discharge from the exposed mucosa which irritates the surrounding skin and causes intertrigo.
Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water daily and eat lots of fruits and vegetables as a roughage which will prevent constipation.
You can use a topical steroid+antifungal cream (beclomethasone+clotrimazole) twice daily for 2 weeks for intertrigo.
I would advice that you see a surgeon for a proper assessment and treatment of the problem of piles+-fissure, that you face.
take care regards
