What Is The Treatment For Itchy And Burning Feeling In Hair And Face After Hair Dye?

I think I have an allergey to hair dye and am suffering for the last few weeks with severe burning welts on my hair line, neck, upper back, down my arms, ears and on my scalp flaking, itching and a crawling sensation with like goose bumps. It is permanent dye and it won t wash out. Have meds from my doctor for the symptoms but it seems to not be helping unless I take the perdnisone. Already did two rounds. what else can I do to relieve this agony?

As per your complain itchy and burning feeling in hair, face,upper back after hair dye along with flaking, itching of the scalp seems to be due to severe anaphylactic reaction caused by the components present in the dye..

I would suggest you to consult a Dermatologist or an Allergist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

You can be advised oral antiallergics and steroids like Allegra or Levocetrizine, another round of steroids, topical application of steroid ointment, shampoo containing coaltar and Ktoconazole as there might be fungal infection also and cool compresses..
Injectable steroids can be given for faster relief..
