What Is The Treatment For Lymphoma?

Hi, my father is 83 and he has been told that he has lymphoma. He had a bone marrow biopsy done today. He was told he has stage 3. My sister and I do not agree on the treatment. I say lets wait for the results of the biopsy and she is saying the oncologist is telling her treatment to commence right away.

Good evening. The treatment for lymphoma is usually chemotherapy. And you are right in waiting for the biopsy result. It shouldn't take.more than 3 to 4 days. You will be more convinced in starting treatment. But you need to consult.your doctor regarding the treatment. The medications are quite strong.Considering his age , you need to discuss regarding the pros and cons of the treatment as the medicines have lot of side effects If not tolerated. Hope the information was useful.
