Hi, thanks for asking from HCM. I can understand your concern. You are very young for diffuse cerebellar atrophy. One thing I want to clear to you, is cerebellar atrophy is irreversible. However, you can stop its progression. I will tell you few measures for this - First consult some neurologist to rule out B12 deficiency, spinocerebellar atrophy, Freidreich s Ataxia. He will advise you few investigations to rule out it. Treatment will depend upon final diagnosis. Spinocerebellar atrophy and FA are congenital, progressive disease. They can be treated symptomatically only. - Increase intake of fruits, green vegetables, curd, dry fruits. These are rich in antioxidants, minerals and vitamin. It will naturally stop atrophy. - You should take neutron specific vitamin supplements like B12, folic acid, Pantothenic acid, Pyridoxine after proper prescription. - If you are having tremors, tablet propranolol can be taken after prescription. - For memory loss, you can take tablet Donepezil, citicoline after proper prescription. Keep a dairy with you to remember things. try to play Sudoku or chess to improve your memory. - Consult physiotherapist to improve your muscle strength. It will help you later.
