Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have mild pain in the upper right quadrant of my abdomen, severe bloating occasional nausea but it has been confirmed that I do not have gallstones. I have been suffering with this off and on for 4 years but the last week has been worse. The pain is not horrible - I am just quite uncomfortable. I have had infrequent clay stools, infrequent vomiting, infrequent fever, weight gain and with every meal severe fullness and bloating. I am just ready to feel better!
Hello, I can understand your concern for your symptoms. 1) Your symptoms are suggestive of dyspepsia which is indigestion related problem due to inadequate stomach acid. 2) Severe inflammation in stomach is common cause for such dyspepsia. 3) This can be confirmed with upper GI endoscopy. 4) treatment include - anti-acidity medication, intestinal digestive enzyme supplementation to facilitate digestion and anti-spasmodic medication to control pain episodes. 5) It is also possible that insufficient digestive enzyme supplementation due to other causes can also produce similar symptoms.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any further doubts, I would be happy to help you. Have a nice day!
