What Is The Treatment For Nausea?

I have been suffering from nausea after lying down in bed at night for months now. I eat a Paleo diet, and try not to eat after about 7:30 at night (I go to bed around 11:30). I am gluten intolerant, and avoid all grains. My gall bladder was removed 30 years ago. Any ideas what I should do?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of suffering from nausea after laying down in bed at night for months, eat a paleo diet, try not to eat after 7:30 pm, go to bed at 11:30 pm, there is gluten intolerance, avoid all grains, gall bladder was removed 30 years ago, wants to know what can be done.
I can understand that you are gluten intolerant and on Paleo diet.
But when it comes to health everything else comes later.
This looks due to acid reflux like GERD and hence should be diagnosed properly.
I would advise you the following:
to take the dinner a bit later as by the time you are into bed, the gastric acid get a reflux causing the symptoms that you have mentioned.
Start a PPI like Omeprazole, Motility regulator like Domperidone, antacid every three hourly, particularly at the night as you get empty stomach within 3 hours of eating.
Get an upper GI endoscopy, consult a Gastroenterologist for proper diagnosis and management.
