Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
HELLO SIR,AGE OF MY MOTHET IS 46 YRS.AND WEIGHT 92KG SUFFERING FROM BACK PAIN,LOWER LIMB PAIN SINCE 1 YRS.LAST YEAR SHE WAS DIAGNOSED OSTEOARTRITIS OF RT.KNEE .HYSTERECTOMY DONE 6 MONTHS BACK.NOW TO WHOM I MEET FIRST WHETHER ENDOCRINOLOGIST OR NEUROLOGIST OR ORTHOPEDIC DOCTOR.
Hi, This is purely an ORTHOPAEDIC PROBLEM. Hysterectomy is in no way related to your problem.Hence endocrinologist consultation is not required (unless and otherwise u r on harmone replacement therapy ) Back pain may be due to LS STRAIN probably because she is trying to bear most weight over normal limb. This unequal distribution of weight causes a strain over the para spinal muscles. Hence neurologist consultation is not required. What is needed is an ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEON consultation to get osteoarthritis treated. If the OA is mild, then 1) quadriceps exercises 2) avoid squatting and sitting cross legged. 3) hot water fomentation
