What Is The Treatment For Panic Attack And Anxiety?
I am 54 years old and had an ekg with my internist on Friday. The reading says to consider anteroseptal myocardial damage. I have always been healthy except that I have been prone to panic atttacks and have been managing my anxiety through a healthy lifestyle and 10mg paxil per day. My doctor referred me to a cardiologist. I'm wondering how worried I should be? Should I reschedule my business trip next week?
u have been taking paxil for last 10 years..i feel u may have undiagnosed high blood pressure for long which has went unnoticed..
in my opinion u shud consult a cardiologist and ask for the treatment of the abnormality EKG has shown...u can also ask him about your concerns..
i feel that your anxiety can be a different phenomenon from your heart condition..so continue taking paxil..but paxil has more side effects as compared to other SSRI drugs..i feel u shud stop paxil and start sertraline [zoloft 50 mg]at night ....u ll be alright...
finally.. go for consultation to cardilogist and start sertraline...in my opinion u can go for business trip scheduled to next week..but only after consultation to cardiologist..
i hope this advice will be helpful...best luck..
