What Is The Treatment For Portal Vein Thrombosis?

HI, I am suffering from extra hepatic portal vein thrombosis. I consult gastroentrologi st. He did band ligation and glue theorepy before 6 months but frequently this problem arises. Is their any permanent solution for this problem in medical science. My age is 29 yrs

Hi, thanks for the question. EHPVO as we call it is being managed well by your Doctor as I can make out. You should also have Tab Propranolol or Inderal everyday to keep your heart rate around 60 to 70 beats per min. This will decrease chances of bleeding in vomitus or hematemesis as we call it.
