I have red dots on my uvula that look like I'm bleeding and whenever I swallow, bring up mucus (which is red), or touch my uvula it hurts alot. Also whenever I swallow even just a tiny amount of spit I bring up mucus, and spit rushes to my mouth faster than usual.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have red dots on uvula which is due to upper respiratory tract infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test , throat or uvula culture test or X-ray of that region to confirm the diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe antibiotic medications or antiviral drugs ( acyclovir) , steroid drugs to treat allergy and swelling or anti histamine drugs. For now do warm saline gargles and take ibuprofen (if not allergic) or paracetamol for pain and swelling. Avoid cold carbonated beverages.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
