What Is The Treatment For Ring Shape Rashes Behind Knee?
I have a ring shapes rash behind me knee. I have had it about 3 years. It started small, then the ring gradually got bigger. There are a few red raised bumps, but it does not itch and does not hurt, which is why I have done nothing about it up til now. Can I get a cream to get rid of it?

Hello, Welcome to HCM, The ring shaped rash for more than 3 years are favoring Lymes disease. The only area affected is where the infection has first come into contact with the skin. The classic sign of Lyme disease is a circular, outwardly expanding rash called erythema chronicum migrans. Lyme disease is caused by spirochetal bacteria and it is transmitted to humans by ticks. This can be diagnosed by serological tests like Western blot and ELISA. I would suggest to take oral doxycycline. You have to consult the dermatologist for further opinion and treatment. Thank you.
