Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been having chest pain. Severe chest pain. All tests and X-rays have been negative. Nothing seems to be helping. This has been going on since aug 24th. The pain drops me to my knees and I can t move. The episodes last from 20 min to hours. After the pain subsides I still have tightness and achy pain all the time. The pain during the attacks is over a level 10 and it s a sharp stabbing pain that radiates across my chest into my back left shoulder.
Please let me know what tests you have undergone. Are CT thorax, 2D echo, EKG, troponins, amylase done? There are many possibilities at this point and a thorough evaluation is needed. To rule out cardiac pain (variant angina), aortic aneurysm, you need to give some more information.
You better post details in the premium section and give some clues regarding pain so that it could help us find the culprit.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Vaddadi Suresh
