What Is The Treatment For Severe Lower Abdominal Pain?
Hello, I have been having lower abdomen pain, and it has been difficult to sleep at night on my back and side. I have had feeling of nausea, but I contributed this to a recent upper respiratory infection. The nausea has come and gone though. I also sometimes get a sudden pain shooting through my breast. What could be causing these issues?
Hi. Thanks for your query and an elucidate history. The cause of the pain shooting through the breast may be due to costo-chondritis or pleurisy or LRTI (Lower respiratory tract infection) after the recent upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) .. The cause of pain in the lower abdomen can be due to intestinal infection which can appear after an attack of URTI.
Ultrasonography may help for the diagnosis as also a physical examination by the Doctor.
Take a course of an antibiotic, metronidazole , probiotic, antispasmodic with painkiller properties for 5 days. If no response go for further tests of colonoscopy and CT scan along with the routine tests of blood, urine and stool.
