My partner has been experiencing low back pain for many years on and off. However recently for the last week or so he is complaining over lower back pain and the feeling of his lower back bones rubbing together and the pain is not going away. Please advise what the cause of this may be.
Hello Thank you for writing to us on Health care Magic.
Based on your history the response to your question is as follows. 1. It appears to be related to lumbar disc prolapse or compression. 2. X-ray of the vertebrae or MRI would effectively demonstrate the amount of compression damage. 3. Also he needs to improve posture, strengthen back muscles through regular back exercises. 4. For short period, he will need lumbar support too. For pain at present he can NSAIDS like celecoxib. Need to get the tests done at the earliest. Meet your doctor for tests. Hope this is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.
