Hello my sister is 30, she was born with a murmur, she is very healthy now, she has these episodes where she feels like her heart skips a beat, it was so bad the other day she got choked and, had to hold her breath and there are days when she gets really tired

I read your query and would like to say that usually the "skipped beat" doesn't need to be medicated.
However if it's unsupportable and increase patient anxiety and decrease the quality of life it may be treated with betablockers.
