What Is The Treatment For Soreness In Legs?

Hello. I seem to be sore at the top of my femur on both sides ,I am fine standing but sitting or lying in bed its very sore , sometimes when I get up after sitting it seems like it locks up , I have been to physio and he told me it was a mussel that's protects the bone? it think that's what he was meaning , he said it quite common in women in there 50s. just wondering if I should get an xray ?

Yes, I would definitely recommend x-ray of both hips to rule out arthritis.
Your Physio is also right. Muscle strengthening exercises will give better support to the joint and relieve pain--regards
