What Is The Treatment For The Protrusion Of L4 And L5?

My husband recently had an MRI and it determined that he has L4 and L5 disc protrusion w/ bilateral facet arthrosis. In addition, L5 S1 anular bulge. He is already been taking oxycodone 10 mg for pain, will they keep increasing this dose or change to another form of medical therapy...along with the physical therapy?
