Hi, you could be having Deep Vein Thrombosis(DVT). Do get a Color Doppler of your Venous system of both lower limbs done to rule it out specially in the presence of Chest pain which could point towards possible Pulmonary embolism. I would advise you to get yourself tested at the earliest and also get a blood test of D-dimer done. If you have DVT, then you would be given some injections and put on oral blood thinning drugs for 3 to 6 months. Your varicose veins should not cause you much pain and they could be due to the DVT. Do let us know the results of the tests to advice you further. Take care
