What Is The Treatment For Thigh Pain Caused By Atypical Stress Fracture In Femur?

I HAVE HAD PAIN IN MY UPPER LEFT THIGH SINCE MAY 2012, FINALLY DIAGNOSED WITH ATYPICAL STRESS FRACTURE IN MY LEFT FEMUR. HAVE BEEN ON CRUTCHES FOR ALMOST 2 1/2 MONTHS STILL IN A LOT OF PAIN. DR NOT SURE WHAT TO DO. REFERRING ME FOR ANOTHER OPINION BUT THIS TAKES TIME AND I M THE ONE IN PAIN. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

you have to take enough rest.if fracture present in fracture then you have to kept your thigh in immobilisation. do hot water fomentation which increase blood flow and wash away wast products which produce pain so hot water fomentation can reduce your pain. also do knee exercise and hip exercise to maintain muscle properties and prevent further weakness. avoid jerky movement at thigh and also avoid weight bearing activities like walking and running. sit in chair only that cause less strain over thigh.but go for another orthopaedic for treatment.thank you.
