What Is The Treatment For Tibial Stress Fracture?

So back in May I got a tibial stress fracture and was told to rest it until the end of July. Yesterday, I walked for half a mile and it began to hurt (in my knee, where the pain usually is), but a few hours later. In two weeks field hockey starts, which requires running. Is it okay to begin running even though I still have pain after resting it for a couple of months, and if I do, what can happen to me stress fracture?

I am 16 years old, female, 5 foot, and 115 lbs.
