What Is The Use Of Junior Lanzol15 When Prescribed To Children?

why & when junior lanzol15 prescribe to children? actually what is junior lanzol15? i have 4 months old son. he was suffering from cold & cough , so his doctor prescribed omnacortil , mucolite, after finishing of 5 day course my son complained pain in stomach , then his doctor told me to give junior lanzol for 10 days. (one tab in a day)

Hello Sameer,

Pain in stomach as complained by your son after finishing his course of medication can be due to the increased production of gastric acid.
It can be attributed to the side effect of the medications like omnacortil which increases gastric acid in stomach.

Junior lanzol15 is chemically Lansoprazole, a proton-pump inhibitor (PPI) which prevents the stomach from producing gastric acid.
So, the medication prescribed by his Doctor is correct, please continue as advised.

Meanwhile, maintain adequate hydration & give him soft diet.
