Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal, MD.

Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query

I dont think I would have suggested the medicine to be increased simply in the basis of HbA1C.
What you need is sugar monitoring using a glucometer and monitoring where the sugars are going high. The medicine will need to be increased and scheduled accordingly.

Even if you fasting sugar is normal, the sugars may rise during the day, before your second dose. So it would be needed to compensate for that dose.

An HbA1C should not be too tightly controlled. It increases the cardiovascular risk. A levels of 6.5 to 7 is ok

I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above/if any other so I can be of help further.

I have given you the answer to the maximum considering the information provided. The results of the tests could further enhance my answer to you.
