Hi Dr. I think I may have an abrasion on my eye. Do I need to see an ophthalmologist, internist, etc? My optometrist office is closed today... Is there anything over the counter that could help alleviate the sensitivity to light? I'm not wearing contacts today, since it feels gritty, when I put them on. There also seems to be a white dot on my eye, but not sure what it is...
From history itappears there is white spot in your cornea with photo phobia. You are using contact lense. Itmay be dry eye . Use artificial tear like refresh tear. stop using contact lense till sensitive ness to light goes. You will improve .
