What Is Your Opinion On Painless Lump On Neck That Does Not Cause Discomfort?
the past year I have lived with a lump on the right side of my neck just below my jaw line. The lump has not grown, although noticeably larger than the other side. it is not hard to the touch nor is there any discomfort whether you touch it or left alone. I recently went to an ENT physician and he checked with a camera that he ran through my nostril to view my thoat area.
He has suggested that I get an MRI with dye for further diagnosis. His preliminary diagnosis is a cyst and can be removed with surgery. i'd like some feed back if possible?
I am so sorry to hear about this lump. I think further investigations are absolutely necessary to further characterise this lump. This will help make the decision to remove and get a tissue diagnosis or not. This is because this may represent so many disease processes that need to be appropriately investigated and managed. an ENT specialist is just the right person for this and I would strongly recommend that you work with him to resolve this.
I hope this addresses your query fully. Thank you so much for patronizing our services and please do feel free to ask for follow up clarifications and information if need be. I wish you the best of health. Dr. Ditah, MD.
