Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
About 6 years ago I took metoprolol succinate.I passed out after taking this for awhile. I decided to stop taking it. The dr then prescribed lisenapril. Took that for about 5 years and developed hives. Have tried a couple other blood pressure meds and also developed hives. The dr has prescribed metoprolol for me again. What are the chances that I could pass out again?

What Leads To Fainting After Taking Metoprolol?
HI If the dose of metoprolol was too high before you may have passed out from too low a blood pressure. You can try the metoprolol for now but you need to monitor your blood pressure daily and see if it is falling too low
