General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
I can understand your concern for your symptoms.
Your symptoms are consistent with anal fissure.
This is a condition in which small linear tear develop on inner wall of lower part of rectum.
Constipation is most common reason for this.
You should take stool softener or laxative to reduce intensity of constipation / straining for defecation.
Another possibility for occasional episode of rectal bleeding is hemorrhoid.
Bleeding from hemorrhoid can not be treated with medications, it require surgery.
Simple physical examination with rectal finger examination can differentiate both of these condition.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any further doubts, I would be happy to help you.
Have a nice day!
