What Means L1-L2: Mild Posterior Subluxation Of L1, Left Facet Arthropathy In MRI?
My wife is having severe pain of the lower back. Her MRI had this comment: "L1-L2: Mild posterior subluxation of L1, left facet arthropathy and mild disc/spur complex produce mild left neural foraminal stenosis. There is no central canal or right foraminal compromise." Could this be causing her lower back pain?
welcome to Health care magic. 1.Mild posterior subluxation - posterior slippage of the vertebral bodies due to loss of the hydration. and the vertebral bodies posteriorly. 2.The vertebral bodies are inter connected with the facet joint - when they are reduced in space. 3.There is a compression caused by the disc indenting on the nerve passing through it. 4.CEntral canals are not involved. Yes all these above symptoms seems to be age related or degenerative changes. 5.Yes all the above reasons could cause back pain - treatment starts from simple exercises to intervention. Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
