What Medication Is Recommended To Treat Shoulder Pain And Headaches Caused By Osteoarthritis?
I have severe pain in both my shoulders, both hips, and wrists . I have deterioting vertebrates , and headaches. I'm 71 yrs old , my dr has checked me n said I have osteoarthritis . Is there any medicine I can take to stop the deterioration of my joints n back?
Degenerative changes in the joints and vertebrae are a part of the normal physiological process at your age. Nothing can really stop this degeneration but keeping the muscles around the arthritic joints in good shape, strength and tone will help in preventing the rapid progression of the arthritic process.
So, adequate exercise involving all the affected joints and guided physiotherapy is all that is needed for you.
The safest analgesic (considering your age) could be either acetaminophen or tramadol. Local massaging with analgesic creams will also help in alleviating the pain.
Hope this information is helpful. Good day
