What Medication Is Suggested Discomfort Caused In The Throat?
I've been sick for a couple of weeks and all of the sudden I felt a weird feeling in the back of my throat. I looked back there and my epiglottis is visible and very prominent. I went to the ER and they said I didn't have epiglotittis. Why though after 20 years of not being visible would it suddenly become visible? It sticks straight up in the back of my throat. What does this mean?
Epiglottis is normally seen in the body on proper examination below and behind the tongue. In any case if it is not causing you any problem then you have nothing to worry about. It can become visible in conditions like weight loss, tension, reflux but even normally if you tense your neck muscles and protrude your tongue out it will be visible so do not think about it much
