Hi there,

You have two reasons for the weight gain. The first is being on steroids - which can cause weight gain. That is a very common and well known side effect. The second is birth control - no matter what birth control is used, I usually almost always see women gain at least 10 lbs and usually more on birth control. Both steroids and birth control will alter hormone levels, and usually the result is weight gain.

I know how hard it is to lose weight, but diet alone probably won't cut it for you. You need to increase your metabolism and that will only work by regular exercise. I'd recommmend hitting the gym or working out 5 days a week for at least 30 minutes to start. You can start by walking or jogging, but you have to work out. I'd recommend mixing in a weight training regiment as well so you can build some muscle, which will help a lot with your history of steroid use (people on steroids tend to have increased fat with decreased muscle).

I hope this answers your questions. Please feel free to contact me should you have any further questions.
