What Precautions Should Be Taken If In Contact With Glandular TB?

Dear doctor
my mom was recently diagnosed with glandular TB..though she never showed any symptoms of cold,cough,fever,loss of hunger or weight except a small painful lump in her neck area...she's a heart patient n 69 yrs.of age..being alone she lives with me in chennai...i'm her daughter n juvenile diabetic..the doctor here told me that it's not contagious so i needn't worry..are there any precautions that we need to take?

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
Your mother has tuberculous lymphadenitis. It is not contagious disease. so don't worry about spread of infection to other. She should take a complete course of anti tuberculous treatment. Take high protein diet and healthy food. No need to worry about spread of infection.
