What Prognosis Is Needed For An Heart Patient Experiencing Body Tremors?
my father has had a major stroke a year ago, he s on blood thiners & chole rx, he has had some mini strokes recently. today he is pale a little dizzy, slight headache and slight fever. when he work up from his nap- he was shaking...he is refusing to go to the hospital, I gave him Tylenol and he is back to sleep with no appetite. his blood pressure is 119/80. but his pulse is 115 resting. should I call an ambulance?
Fever along with trembling (chills) are usually indicative of an infection. This can be viral or bacterial infections most commonly. Fungal and parasitic infections are not as common. If there are other symptoms that indicate that it is a mild or common infection that is the cold, then you can treat at home but if it is not clear or you are very concerned then he should be seen and assessed. Tylenol should help with the fever and chills.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James
