What Routine Should I Follow To Be Cured Completely Of GERD ?

dear sir, i am suffering from GERD from last 1 year, i take lots of medition like pentaprazole, domperidome, omeprazole but still it is not cure complete. kindly suggest what daily routine i have to follow so GERD completely demolished. thanks

Hello,
As you have described in your history you GERD. To treat GERD there are 2 groups of measures you have to take : 1) Drugs to reduce gastric acid secretion; 2) Healthy life style.
Drugs : As you are already taking few medications take them regularly if you are not as your doctor has advised.
Lifestyle Changes : Even after taking medications it always very important to make certain lifestyle changes to control GERD symptoms, like avoidance of fatty foods, acidic foods, smoking, alcohol, spearmint, peppermint, chocolates, tomato based foods, possibly coffee and tea, eating food at proper timing every day, weight reduction if you are over weight, regular exercise, drinking adequate amount of water etc.

Please do consult your Gaestroenterologist for the acid reflux problems. You will require a diagnostic Gastroscopy to find out the cause of GERD. Secondly, drink plenty of water, take small but frequent meals. Avoid the following:
1. Excess salty/sweet/spicy food/chilled/sour food
2. Citrus fruits
3. Coffee/tea/alcohol/fizzy drinks/chocolates/smoking
4. Fasting/skipping meals
5. The most important of all these things is STRESS
