Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal.
Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query
The pain in the right flank could be due to a number of reasons.
This could possibly be due to a renal stone. And as long as the stone is there you will continue to have pain. However at 3 weeks, very few stones would be undiagnosed.
the second possibility is that you have a
urinary tract infection that may have involved the kidneys, known as
pyelonephritis. The pain is usually dull aching and remains as long as the infection is there
A third possibility is that your sugars are uncontrolled and therefore you have the pain
Finally chronic consipation can also cause the same problem.
The list of possibilities of
abdominal pain is endless. Without a keen examination it may not be possible to suggest a definitive diagnosis
I will therefore suggest the following tests
urine routine and culture
usg abdomen
I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above so i can be of help further. Best of luck.
