What Should I Do About Chronic UTI Symptoms, Painful Urination Potentially Due To A Yeast Infection?
Have chronic UTI s for over a year....antibiotic rx is effective for up to 6 weeks and then a reoccurance...different antibiotic rx is prescribed...again it was effective....for about 6 wks....painful urination occurs again, but urine sample,, last 2 times, came back negative...So if it is not an UTI...so must be a yeast infection...using peroxide to cleansse area, and adult wipes...I am incontinet, and on a dearetic...please avise....what is next step? Thank you, for your time...D.T..
Urine infection needs to be treated conservatively with drinking lots of liquids or IV fluids if in a hospital set up. Then antibiotic course helps. Yeast infection shows skin infection locally and presents with itching.
