What Should I Do For The Sore Left Chest Having A Hard Lump Beside The Nipple?

im a 31 yo male. my left breast has been sore for several weeks. ive researched it as much as i could but all the info im finding seems conflicting. at first i thought i injured it somehow. after tryin to "rub" the pain out, i felt a knot beside my nipple. after feeling it often it feels to have soften, but the lump remains and is pretty painful at times. i sometimes cant sleep on that side of my body. other than the obvious (see a physician) do u have any suggestions?

Hi,

Welcome to HCM.
Hard lump beside the nipple can be worrisome. Please get it examined by a GP nearby you. You might need a breast imaging to determine if the mass is solid or fluid filled. I would also suggest a biopsy of the lump to rule out malignancy. You can take over the counter painkillers for the pain. Please get it examined as soon as possible.
Thanks.
