Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve had the flu for 6 days, I started to feel better, but I feel like I m relapsing. I now have a dry hacking cough, that racks my body, and I have pain in my temples when I cough. I have been resting night and day,and am using a vaporizer, What should I do?
After reading your post, I would like to advise that you should take care of your diet. You should eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Also maintain your hydration.
You should get yourself clinically examined and investigated. Following investigations may be helpful :- 1. Complete Blood Count(CBC). 2. Sputum examination. 3. Throat swab culture. 4. Chest X-Ray (PA view).
You can take antihistamine like Fexofenadine 120 mg once a day along with Vitamin B and Vitamin C supplement. Paracetamol can be taken for relief from pain. You can continue with the vaporizer. Antibiotic and a bronchodilator may be added according to clinical examination and reports of the above mentioned investigations.
I hope this is helpful to you. Thanks.
