What Should I Do With The Swelling Caused By Breathing Tube?
I had tubal ligation under general anethesia this morning, and now have this strange swelling from the breathing tube. It's interfering with my breathing, but not enough to actually choke me. It feels like it's "hanging" off the back of my tongue down into the throat. Should I go get it checked out?
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your concern. Yes, you should definitely consult doctor immediately. Bronchitis is common after general anaesthesia. And bronchitis causes similar symptoms. So possibility of bronchitis is high in your case. Bronchitis needs anti inflammatory, antihistamines drugs orally. Inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) are the mainstay of treatment. Usually with treatment, bronchitis improves in 10-15 days. So better to first diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment. Consult doctor immediately, don't wait at home. Hope I have solved your query. Wish you good health. Thanks.
