What Should I Expect From My Ultrasound During Pregnancy?
I m pregnant..just found out March 17th, confirmed by dr. Hcg levels are 888 yesterday. They did a transvaginal ultrasound and found a gestational sac which measured 5wk 2 days. But they said it was in the wrong place. I said its in the uterus right? Yes they replied. Just what place is the right place? Doing another ultrasound tomorrow..my mom thinks its too soon to see yolk sac. What should I expect?
The uterus has an upper and a lower segment. The implantation usually occurs in the upper segment. An implantation in the lower segment close to or within the cervix of uterus must be watched with caution. Please ask your doctor on the exact location and what the mean by wrong place in details. A 5 week 2 days fetus is quite small to appreciate cardiac activity and this can be seen around the 7th week.
